DRT seminars, labs, and adventure programs may be photographed, filmed, or recorded by DRT or its authorized photographers. This release explains how DRT may use those images and recordings, and the choices you have.
1. Your choice
At registration you may choose either:
- I agree. DRT may use photos, video, and audio recordings in which I appear (“Media”) as described below; or
- I do not agree. DRT will make reasonable efforts to avoid featuring me in published Media. I will wear the identifier DRT provides, such as a colored lanyard, and will tell the photographer.
Your choice does not affect your ability to attend. You may change your choice at any time by emailing
rachelw.drt@gmail.com. A change applies going forward. DRT cannot recall materials already printed or distributed.
2. What DRT may do with Media
If you agree, you grant DRT a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, edit, and publish Media in which you appear, together with your name and professional credentials where appropriate, for DRT’s educational, nonprofit, and promotional purposes. These include the DRT website, social media, course materials, brochures, presentations, and accreditation submissions. DRT will not sell Media of you to third parties for their own advertising. You will not receive payment for this use.
3. Respect for others
Participants may not photograph or record other participants, instructors, or labs without permission. See the Seminar Registration Agreement and the Code of Conduct.
4. Patients
DRT will never publish photos, video, or information that identifies a patient unless the patient has signed a separate written authorization that meets HIPAA and other applicable privacy laws. Participants may not bring patient images or records to DRT programs without proper authorization.
5. Release
To the extent permitted by law, you release DRT from claims relating to the use of Media in accordance with this release, including claims for invasion of privacy or right of publicity.
